Job summary

Fractile is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) to build and maintain the compute, storage, and networking foundations supporting on‑premise workloads for our silicon development. The role suits someone with 2–3+ years of Linux experience who works methodically and independently while growing expertise in HPC‑style large‑scale systems engineering.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on production Linux system administration experience.
• Strong monitoring knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix or similar).
• Solid networking fundamentals and storage concepts basics.
• Comfort with bash/python scripting to automate tasks.
• A methodical, curious approach and independent working style.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot on-premise Linux servers (Rocky/RHEL-family).
• Deploy and manage compute infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible).
• Set up and maintain monitoring for resource use, service health, and failures (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
• Diagnose networking and storage issues and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Operate cluster compute/job scheduling environment (Slurm).
• Handle user/identity tasks (e.g., FreeIPA/ LDAP) and access provisioning.
• Document changes and contribute to runbooks and playbooks.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve infra bottlenecks.
