Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is seeking a skilled Linux infrastructure engineer to own and evolve the Linux estate across global trading environments.

You will collaborate with application and support teams to ensure secure, scalable infrastructure, while designing automation, monitoring, and performance-tuning solutions. The role emphasizes DevOps practices, build/release workflows, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux expertise and Red Hat–based distributions.
• Experience building and administering large-scale or latency-sensitive platforms.
• Extensive experience with automation and configuration management (Ansible/Puppet/Chef).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with build/release management systems.
• Proficient in Python and Bash; C/C++ a plus.
• Solid understanding of server network stack and protocols (TCP/UDP/IGMP/LAN/WAN).
• Experience with performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with version control in collaborative environments.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evolve Linux platform to support global trading environments.

• Design and implement automation frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Develop monitoring and observability capabilities for the estate.
