Prepare, decorate, and innovate pastries while managing inventory and mentoring junior staff. Fluent English and experience in a high-volume environment are preferred; salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Pastry Chef in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment and safety procedures.
• Creative flair for designing visually appealing pastries that taste as good as they look.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
• Excellent time-management skills to meet production deadlines while multitasking on different projects.
• Team player with strong communication skills to collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries including cakes, tarts, cookies and breads.
• Decorate pastries using piping, glazing and garnishing techniques.
• Oversee production to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
• Develop new recipes and menu items while keeping up with current trends.
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies for production.
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
