Job summary

Wilhelmsen - Careers at Sea is seeking a Chief Engineer to manage the technical operations of the vessel, ensuring safe engine room performance and preventive maintenance. The role requires leadership and a strong background in marine engineering.

Candidates must hold a valid Chief Engineer license and STCW 95 certificates, with at least 3 years in cruise industry, fluent English, and knowledge of PMS and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Engineer or in cruise industry.
• Valid Chief Engineer license and STCW 95 certificates.
• Knowledge of SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, and MLC.
• Fluent in English; strong leadership and team skills.
• Experience with PMS and inventory management.
• Pre-employment checks including medical and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• In charge of the technical operations of the vessel.
• Oversee engine room maintenance and safe operation.
• Coordinate shipboard anti-pollution activities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the crew.
