Job summary

NES Fircroft in Oslo seeks a Lead Operations Engineer (LV) to own and operate low‑voltage infrastructure in a mission‑critical data centre environment. You will lead preventive maintenance, incident response and ensure safety, compliance and uptime across distribution boards, switchgear and UPS systems.

You’ll act as technical authority for LV systems, coordinate contractors, mentor the team and drive documentation and control improvements in a fast‑growing programme.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in electrical engineering.
• Strong background in LV operations and maintenance.
• 7–12 years’ experience in electrical infrastructure environments.
• Essential: proven experience in data centres or mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance.
• Strong communicator with leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Leading safe and compliant operation of all LV installations.
• Owning LV infrastructure: distribution boards, switchgear, UPS systems.
• Planning and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Managing LV‑related incidents, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensuring documentation, safety procedures and internal controls are up to date.
• Coordinating and approving contractors.
• Supporting training and competence development across the team.
