Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking a Lead ERP S/4HANA Migration Technical Architect to design, build and continuously improve the client's online platform in Oslo. You will define architecture and roadmaps for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and security.

You will lead technical workstreams, review designs, and coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to guarantee smooth migrations using SUM/DMO and best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP technical experience, including at least 5 years focused on SAP S/4HANA transformations.
• Define end-to-end technical architecture for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Lead technical workstreams across SAP Basis, infrastructure, integrations, ABAP, Fiori, security, and custom developments.

• Develop migration roadmaps, technical design documents, and implementation standards.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
• Lead technical workstreams throughout SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• Provide architectural guidance across SAP Basis, infrastructure, integrations, ABAP, Fiori, security, and custom developments.
• Review and approve technical solution designs and deployment plans.
• Establish technical governance, architectural standards, and quality controls.
• Assess existing SAP ECC integrations with satellite applications, including dependencies, interfaces, data flows, and migration risks.
• Lead technical impact assessments for ECC-to-S/4HANA changes across integrations, middleware, APIs, custom developments, and third-party applications.
• Coordinate with application owners, business stakeholders, integration teams, and vendors to define remediation plans and ensure integration readiness.
• Ensure business-critical integrations remain functional through appropriate testing, validation, and cutover planning.
• Drive integration governance, issue resolution, and risk management throughout migration and stabilization.
• Lead custom code assessment and remediation using SAP Simplification Items, ATC checks, and custom code analysis tools.
• Define and govern strategies for ABAP code adaptation, obsolete development decommissioning, and S/4HANA best practices.
• Coordinate with development teams to prioritize, remediate, test, and deploy impacted custom objects.
• Drive technical migration using SUM with DMO and other SAP-recommended migration methodologies.
• Review system readiness, sizing, performance, downtime reduction, and cutover procedures related to SUM/DMO activities.
• Support sandbox, development, quality, dress rehearsal, and production migration cycles.
• Troubleshoot migration issues across SAP Basis, HANA, ABAP, and S/4HANA.
• Establish migration governance, technical checkpoints, and quality gates.
• Design highly available, scalable, and secure SAP environments.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to optimize platform architecture.
• Guide system refreshes, cutover planning, retrofit, transport management, and environment strategy.
• Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies throughout the program.
• Drive performance optimization, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Support testing cycles, cutover readiness assessments, and production stabilization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading large-scale ERP migration programs.
