Job summary

AutoStore is hiring a Lead Engineer to join our Robotics - New Product Development team, leading a small group of engineers across electronics, firmware and mechanics from concept through to production.

You will take technical ownership of key subsystems, review designs, plan milestones, and support the growth of your team through coaching, mentoring and regular 1:1s while coordinating with Product, Architecture, Project Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering, with leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics, firmware and mechanics.
• Experience delivering physical products to production.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of sub-systems from concept to production.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across electronics, firmware and mechanics.
• Plan resources, milestones and deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers and support growth and onboarding.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Project Management, Supply Chain, Test, Compliance and Manufacturing.
