Plantasjen is hiring a junior full-stack developer to join the core team behind our online stores. You will work in a modern stack and receive dedicated mentoring from senior developers, with AI-assisted development tools integrated into daily work.

You will contribute to frontend and integration work across two markets, shipping code to production within weeks while learning through code reviews and pair programming.

Qualifications

• Curiosity about modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding.
• Understanding of fundamental web technology (HTTP, APIs, HTML/CSS).
• A structured way of working and a desire to write tested, readable code.
• Good written and spoken communication in Norwegian or Swedish, and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the frontend in Next.js, React, and TypeScript with Tailwind CSS.
• Write GraphQL queries against our headless CMS platform (Crystallize).
• Maintain and improve the search experience (MeiliSearch) across the Norwegian and Swedish markets.
• Write and maintain tests with Playwright and Jest.
• Contribute to database work in Supabase and to event-driven workflows (Inngest) together with the seniors.
• Take part in code reviews, debugging, and sprint work in GitHub Projects.

Develop and improve the online shopping experience for Plantasjen using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

• Understanding of fundamental web technology (HTTP, APIs, HTML/CSS)
• Good communication skills in Norwegian or Swedish, and English

About us

Plantasjen is Scandinavia's leading chain for plants and garden products, with online stores in Norway (plantasjen.no) and Sweden (plantagen.se). Team Online owns the entire web platform across both markets - from frontend and search to the content platform and integrations. We are a small, senior-heavy team working closely with the business, and we now want to bring in an early-career developer who will grow with us.

About the role

As a junior full-stack developer you will be part of the core team behind our online stores. You will work in a modern stack, get a dedicated mentor among our senior developers, and use AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of your workday. We don't believe in keeping new developers on the sidelines: you will write code that ships to production within your first weeks - with solid support through code reviews and pair programming.
