Job summary

NutraQ is seeking a Tech Lead eCommerce to balance hands-on development with technical leadership. You will guide a distributed development team and shape our platform architecture to support growth, performance and exceptional customer experiences.

Reporting to Head of eCommerce, you will drive engineering excellence, coach engineers, implement AI-enhanced workflows, and collaborate with UX and product to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Office in Skøyen, Oslo.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in web development, ideally within D2C e-commerce or subscription-based businesses.
• Strong full-stack skills across modern frontend frameworks, backend systems, APIs and CMS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with technology used for modern web applications (e.g., React, Next, .NET).
• Experience mentoring, coaching or technically guiding developers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support in-house tech team and external developers, promoting knowledge sharing and strong technical capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, technology choices and implementation.
• Contribute to hands-on development, including coding and implementation, while upholding coding standards and best practices.
• Drive engineering efficiency by integrating AI tools, automated processes, and optimized workflows.
• Drive improvements across the web ecosystem, including CMS, performance, integrations and customer journeys.

NutraQ is an international, technology-driven company operating across 15 European markets and the US. As our business continues to grow, we are strengthening our eCommerce team and establishing a new key role: Tech Lead eCommerce.

This is a unique opportunity to take technical and professional lead within the eCommerce team and shape the development of our platforms. You will play a central role in shaping our technical direction, guiding a distributed development team and ensuring our ecosystem continues to support growth, scalability and great customer experiences.

Alongside Head of eCommerce and UX, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of our platform, translating business needs into robust technical solutions that drive conversion and customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Head of eCommerce and be part of a professional and experienced tech-team of developers and UX designers. Together with the team you will be a key contributor to NutraQ's continued investment in technology and digital development.

What you will be responsible for

• Ensure high-quality delivery by coaching and supporting in-house tech team and external developers, promoting knowledge sharing and building strong technical capabilities across the team.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, technology choices and implementation.
• Actively contribute to hands-on development, including coding and implementation, while promoting coding standards, technical best practices and high-quality solutions.
• Drive engineering efficiency and team output by integrating modern AI tools, automated processes, and optimized workflows into daily practices.
• Drive improvements across our web ecosystem, including CMS, performance, integrations, customer journeys and functionality.

You likely bring:

• Strong experience in web development, ideally within D2C e-commerce or subscription-based businesses.
• Strong full-stack skills across modern frontend frameworks, backend systems, APIs and CMS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with technology used for modern web applications. We use React, Next and .NET as of now.
• Experience across the full development lifecycle, from architecture and technical direction to implementation and optimisation
• Experience mentoring, coaching or technically guiding developers.
• Experience working with CMS platforms and modern web technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Scandinavian languages are a plus.
• Exceptional drive and proactive approach.
• Curiosity and a strong interest in keeping up with technological developments.
