Maritime Optima AS in Oslo is seeking an experienced front-end developer to join our maritime‑tech startup. You will work on React/React Native projects and help shape the UI across our ShipIntel and ShipAtlas products.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong design sense, and the ability to communicate trade-offs. You will collaborate with a small, motivated team to deliver high‑quality interfaces and learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

About Us

Maritime Optima AS is a maritime technology startup based in Oslo. Founded in 2018, we develop two SaaS products: ShipIntel and ShipAtlas. We work closely with users while developing our products and are supported by private funding from serial tech entrepreneurs and shipping executives.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a senior front‑end developer with 3–5 years of relevant education or equivalent work experience. You will influence technical and business decisions, communicate complex trade‑offs, and help the team deliver high‑quality UI components.

• Substantial experience implementing visual design with an eye for layout and composition.
• Higher relevant education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with universal design and performance requirements.
• Proficiency in React or React Native (or equivalent frameworks) and TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of new technologies and a willingness to learn and share.
• Strong communication skills and a driving force for project implementation.
• Professional integrity and courage to present your views.
• Fluency in English, Norwegian a plus.
