Build & Hire in Norway is seeking a Field Engineer for a 1-year Fixed-Term Contract, involving frequent travel to project sites across Norway. The role suits experienced engineers with hands-on IoT, camera systems, sensor networks, edge devices, or similar hardware deployments.

You will deploy and maintain field hardware, troubleshoot connectivity, document site conditions, and work with product and engineering teams to improve deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field engineering or similar hands-on role.
• Experience with IoT, cameras, sensors, edge devices or hardware deployments.
• Strong networking knowledge including cellular, Wi‑Fi and VPN.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of field hardware and data capture.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel Norway.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain hardware across project sites in Norway.
• Travel to sites to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Ensure deployed hardware functions reliably and produces data.
• Diagnose issues with cameras, edge devices, connectivity, and data feeds.
• Document deployment procedures and site conditions; prepare status reports.
• Collaborate with Electro-Mechanical Engineer and Product Team on feedback.
• Remote monitoring and basic troubleshooting when required.
