Job summary

VARD Interiors AS seeks a Supervisor Interior to lead interior installation activities on our projects. You will supervise installation companies, ensure compliance with HSE, drawings, schedules and quality, and monitor daily progress throughout installation.

You will coordinate with the Production Coordinator Interior and Department Manager Interior to plan, prioritize, and interface with other disciplines, resolving challenges and ensuring safe, efficient completion per project requirements.

Qualifications

• Vocational education or equivalent technical background.
• Experience within interior installation, shipbuilding, construction, or similar industries.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and prioritize installation work for subcontractors.
• Perform pre-checks of work areas and identify potential conflicts with other systems.
• Coordinate installation activities with Hull, Paint, Electrical, Piping, and HVAC.
• Provide work direction and guidance to installation companies.
• Ensure work meets quality requirements and planned schedules.
• Participate in inspections with Class and/or Owners and close remarks.
• Support budgeting and scheduling activities with the Department Manager Interior and Production Coordinators Interior.
• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Verify availability of materials, equipment, drawings, and work areas before start.
• Manage contractor activities to maximize efficiency and minimize rework.
• Monitor installer performance and provide improvement guidance.
• Report installation progress and deviations weekly.
• Handle extra contractual activities with required documentation.
• Handle correction and closure of remarks and non-conformities.
• Perform final inspections and handover of completed areas.
