Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer for Haugesund to lead instrument design for offshore greenfield projects. The role emphasizes PRE activities and close collaboration with instrument vendors and test teams.

You will ensure timely documentation, compliance with standards (NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC), and accurate data registers while coordinating with a multicultural project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree in engineering.
• 6–8 years’ experience from engineering for greenfield offshore oil & gas or wind projects.
• 3 years’ experience with PRE activities from greenfield projects.
• Deep knowledge of field instrumentation design and standards (NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, IEC).

Responsibilities

• Instrument design and follow up of instrument packages vendors.
• Package responsible engineer (PRE) for instrument procurement packages; participate in test activities IAT/FAT.
• Follow up instrument vendors and vendor technical documentation.
• Ensure vendor information needed for progress is identified and communicated to the project.
• Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers.
• Update of technical and document data register.

Instrument / Senior Instrument Engineer - Haugesund

Job Responsibilities:

• -Instrument design and follow up of instrument packages vendors.
• -Package responsible engineer (PRE) for instrument procurement packages. Participate in test activities IAT/FAT.
• -Follow up Instrument vendors and vendor technical documentation.
• -Ensure that vendor information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project.
• -Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers.
• -Update of technical and document data register.

Required Education:

Bachelor or master degree

Required Work Experience:

• -Minimum 6-8 years’ experience from engineering for greenfield offshore oil&gas or wind projects
• -Minimum 3 years’ Experience with PRE activities and responsibilities from green field projects
• -Experience and deep knowledge of field instrumentation design, measuring principle and solutions according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC
