Job summary

Event Staffing is seeking a Preservation Architect to preserve and restore historic buildings in Os, Norway. The role collaborates with clients, engineers, and construction teams to maintain structural integrity and historical accuracy. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities include researching history, developing plans compliant with regulations, and overseeing crews to ensure correct implementation of preservation techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or restoration projects.
• Knowledge of architectural styles and materials used in historic buildings.
• Strong understanding of local building codes and regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Biometric passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on the history and architecture of each building to determine the appropriate preservation techniques
• Collaborate with engineers to assess the structural stability of the building
• Develop preservation plans that comply with local regulations and guidelines
• Oversee construction workers to ensure that preservation techniques are implemented correctly
• Utilize specialized tools and techniques to restore damaged or deteriorating areas of the buildings
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to clients on the status of projects
• Maintain detailed records including photographs drawings and reports
