Job summary

Qualifications

As a Preservation Architect you will play a vital role in preserving historical buildings and structures in the city of Bergen Your main responsibility will be to assess document and plan for the conservation and restoration of these important landmarks This position requires a high level of expertise in architectural design historical preservation techniques and project management

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
• Create detailed documentation of existing conditions and develop plans for restoration or conservation
• Collaborate with engineers contractors and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of buildings
• Utilize knowledge of historical preservation techniques and materials to ensure authenticity and accuracy in restoration projects
• Monitor progress and provide guidance during construction or restoration work to ensure adherence to preservation standards
• Stay up-to-date on local state and federal regulations regarding historic preservation

Requirements
