Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or historic building conservation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other architectural software.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations and historic preservation guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of historical structures to determine their original design and materials used.
• Develop preservation plans and strategies for the maintenance and restoration of historical buildings.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure preservation plans are implemented effectively.
• Use CAD software and other digital tools to create detailed drawings and designs for preservation projects.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure preservation standards are met.
• Communicate with clients, contractors and local authorities to obtain necessary approvals for preservation projects.
