Job description

We’re looking for an experienced HSE Manager to take the lead on health, safety, and environmental management for a data centre construction project in Norway. This is a full‑time, on‑site position, offered on either a permanent or contract basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with project leadership and our client partners.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead all HSE activities on site, ensuring compliance with Norwegian regulations and MiCiM’s HSE management systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, driving proactive safety performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific HSE plans and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to site teams, promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee toolbox talks, inductions, training, and incident/near‑miss investigations.
  • Liaise with client HSE representatives, subcontractors, and local authorities.
Requirements:
  • Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing HSE on large‑scale construction projects (data centre experience an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian HSE legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
