Job summary

Nordic Aqua Partners AS, headquartered in Oslo, seeks a seasoned Head of Group Accounting to lead consolidation, reporting and governance across the Group. You will collaborate with the CFO in Oslo and the Chinese subsidiary to professionalize the finance function in a listed, international growth company.

You will drive IFRS-compliant reporting, align internal controls, and liaise with external auditors while guiding a high-exposure finance team through rapid growth.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience from audit; experience in accounting/controlling/financial reporting preferred.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and international/publicly listed company exposure advantageous.
  • Strong English and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly and annual financial reporting processes, including group consolidation.
  • Prepare board, management, regulatory, and stock exchange reporting.
  • Support and follow up international subsidiaries and local finance teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting, tax, and VAT-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting routines.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal controls and corporate governance across the Group.
  • Act as primary point of contact for external accounting firms and auditors.

As Head of Group Accounting, you will play a central role in developing and strengthening the finance function during an exciting phase of growth. Working closely with the Oslo-based CFO and the finance team in the Chinese subsidiary, you will be responsible for consolidation, reporting, and financial governance matters across the Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical accounting expertise with operational involvement in an international listed company. You will have significant influence on reporting processes, accounting policies, internal controls, and the continued professionalization of the finance function. The role reports to the CFO and is based at the company's headquarters in central Oslo. Occasional business travel to China and the Faroe Islands should be expected.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience from audit, preferably combined with experience from accounting, controlling, or financial reporting
  • Solid IFRS knowledge and experience
  • Experience from international and/or publicly listed companies is an advantage
  • Experience from the aquaculture industry is also an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in English
