Job summary

AutoStore is hiring an Automation Test Engineer to join the R&D team and develop automated testing solutions for our hardware products. You will contribute to early-phase New Product Development (NPD) by improving test coverage and identifying issues early in development.

You will work with hardware engineers to build test automation tools, analyze results, and propose actionable improvements that enhance product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in automation or related field, through formal education or equivalent experience.
• Experience with PLC systems and test automation in hardware environments.
• Hands-on hardware testing in product development settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated testing solutions for hardware modules and sub-assemblies, including test rigs and instrumentation.
• Plan and execute validation activities during early-stage New Product Development (NPD).
• Analyze test results, identify failures and trends, and propose improvements.
• Support root cause investigations and design validation with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to provide feedback and recommendations throughout development.
• Improve testing methods and tooling to increase automation, efficiency and consistency.
