We are in need of a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team in Svalbard. As a Handyman you will be responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks on various properties, both residential and commercial. This is a full‑time position with a salary of 1100$ without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Inspect properties for any issues and report findings to the appropriate supervisor.
• Repair or replace broken fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Keep track of inventory levels and order necessary supplies when needed.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and up to standard.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Good physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in residential or commercial properties is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Knowledge of local suppliers for materials and tools.
