Job description

As a Handyman you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in various settings including residential, commercial and industrial buildings. You will use your skills and experience to ensure that all facilities are in good working condition.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets and repairing minor electrical issues.
• Perform basic carpentry work such as building shelves, installing cabinets and repairing furniture.
• Paint walls and touch‑up areas as needed.
• Conduct repairs on plumbing systems including unclogging drains and fixing broken pipes.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
• Install new appliances or equipment as needed.
• Keep track of inventory for supplies and equipment needed for repairs.
• Respond promptly to any emergency maintenance requests.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of various repair techniques and tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to handle various tasks such as lifting heavy objects or working in tight spaces.
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: $1100 per month.

Location: Svalbard.
