Job summary

WPP Production is seeking a Business Director to lead key client relationships, drive revenue growth, and shape production strategies at a global scale. You’ll be a hunter and team builder who partners with senior leaders to grow opportunities and ensure delivery excellence across multi-channel campaigns.

You will manage client engagement, develop strategic messaging, and mentor teams while aligning with GCMD/GCL objectives and profitability targets.

Qualifications

Experience in a Client Services industry, working in a marketing, integrated campaigns/digital agency and/or consultancy environment.
Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through strategic and organic growth and new business with a motivation to meet specific financial targets.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Expert client relationship skills – multi-stakeholder environment, matrix reporting, industry POV.
Experience driving positive and/or turning around Client Satisfaction Scores.
AI Proficiency: A strong grasp of GenAI, Agentic workflows and how they will disrupt production hierarchies.

Responsibilities

Growth and account planning, driving agency revenue growth across new business.
Relationship management and trusted advisor to clients to influence strategy and outcomes.
Collaboration across GCMD, GCL, and Client Operations to deliver on promises and governance.
Leadership to inspire teams and hire/retain top talent with focus on sustainability and profitability.
Financial stewardship: monitor P&Ls, budgets, and revenue analyses to hit monthly commitments.
