Job summary

Heimstaden Bostad is seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer based in Oslo for a two-month project in January and February. You will support the production of corporate reports and related materials, applying our design systems, templates and brand guidelines to content-heavy documents.

You should be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, with a strong focus on typography, grids and data-driven layouts, delivering well-structured files ready for production under tight deadlines.

Job Description

We are looking for an experiencedfreelance graphic designer with strong skills in editorial design and document productionto join us for atwo-month project during January and February.

The role is particularly suited to a designer who enjoys the technical side of design: building well-structured documents, working with typography and grids, handling large amounts of content, and turning data into clear and consistent layouts.

We are primarily seeking freelancers based in Oslo, Norway, who can collaborate with us from the office.

The Project

During the two-month engagement, you will support the production of corporate reports and the respective materials.

The work will involve taking existing design systems, templates and brand guidelines and applying them consistently across content-heavy documents.

Typical tasks will include:

• Editorial layouts and multi-page documents
• Annual and corporate reporting materials
• Typography and complex text hierarchies
• Tables, charts and data visualisation
• Creating and maintaining templates and reusable document structures
• Making revisions and implementing feedback throughout the production process

Qualifications

What we're looking for

You have a strong understanding of editorial design and professional document production, and know how to build files that are not only visually strong, but technically clean and easy for another designer to continue working with. You are structured, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently, with the ability to respond well to feedback and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

You should be highly proficient inAdobe InDesign and Illustrator, including:

• Baseline grids, margins and column systems
• Paragraph and character styles
• Parent pages, tables and cell styles
• Long-document typography
• Preflight, packaging and preparing files for production
