DNV is seeking graduates for the Operational Centre and Class Systematics, starting August 2027, to deliver remote surveys and provide technical support to ship managers worldwide. The role focuses on remote surveys, DATE access to technical experts, and handling inquiries as part of the duty team.

Deliver remote surveys and technical support (DATE) to ship managers, and participate in the operational centre duty team.
Technical support in Ship Classification provides global support and governance to all DNV’s regions in the daily operations and surveys of vessels. Technical Support consists of 10 units whereby 5 of these units are in Høvik, 3 in Hamburg along with 3 hub units located in Greece, Houston and Singapore. Together, we cover all technical disciplines which are relevant for vessels in operation and their needs. With all these units located strategically, we can provide 24/7 service to our customers via remote surveys and DATE® - Direct Access to Technical Experts service.
Operational Centre and Class Systematics is a key unit in technical support. The unit forms the core of the Operational Centre, with a primary focus on handling remote surveys and technical queries. In our daily work, we provide technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders across DNV’s fleet in service. The unit is also responsible for DNV’s Class Systematics and Remote Surveys. We cooperate closely with other discipline units in Technical Support. We are looking for a skilled and motivated graduate to join this highly evolving, demanding, and exciting section.

Contribute to maintaining our superior quality in systems and class deliverables
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a maritime-related field (e.g. marine technology, nautical science, marine engineering, naval architecture)
General interest and understanding of vessel operations and maritime regulations
Strong communication skills in English
Operational experience is an advantage (e.g. sailing, internship onboard, yard experience or similar), but not a requirement
