Job summary

DNV in Norway is seeking ambitious AI Engineers to accelerate the use of AI for value creation across our customer base. You will work at the intersection of technology, business innovation and product development with experts, software engineers, data scientists, and senior leaders to turn AI capabilities into practical, measurable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, Cybernetics, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, that you can document relevant and equivalent experience in those fields.
  • Experience developing software solutions using Python or comparable programming languages.
  • Understanding of machine learning, generative AI, or modern data technologies.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI-powered applications and agentic solutions.
  • Build prototypes and proofs of concept using modern AI platforms and large language models.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, decision‑making, and customer value.
  • Create digital twins that are used for simulation, modelling and measuring of performance.
  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions and experiments.
  • Contribute to DNV’s AI operations, AI assurance practices, and scalable deployment approaches.
  • Support innovation projects from ideation through pilot and implementation.
  • Evaluate new AI technologies and help shape DNV's future AI capabilities.

As an AI Engineer, You Will
  • Design and develop AI-powered applications and agentic solutions.
  • Build prototypes and proofs of concept using modern AI platforms and large language models.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, decision‑making, and customer value.
  • Create digital twins that are used for simulation, modelling and measuring of performance.
