Job summary

Dignio is seeking a hands-on VP of Manufacturing & Global Supply Chain to lead how we source and build connected medical devices. You will own the path from design transfer through volume production, working with contract manufacturers and a global supplier base to meet cost, quality, and volume targets.

The role combines strategic leadership with shop-floor execution, driving supplier qualification, performance management, and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, EU MDR).

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience owning manufacturing and sourcing for electromechanical or connected hardware products.
• Proven track record scaling a physical product from pilot builds to sustained volume production.
• Deep experience in supplier selection, qualification, contract negotiation, and performance management across geographies.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, ideally medical devices (ISO 13485, EU MDR).
• Knowledge of New Product Introduction and design transfer (DFM/DFA).
• Experience managing electronic component supply risk, including obsolescence and long-lead sourcing.
• Fluency with ERP and PLM systems.
• Willingness to travel to partners and suppliers.
• A pragmatic, detail-oriented leader who operates at strategic and shop-floor levels.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing and sourcing strategy for Dignio's device portfolio from NPI through volume production and end of life.
• Lead selection, qualification, negotiation, and ongoing management of contract manufacturers and EMS partners.
• Build a global supplier base, including qualification, lifecycle management, obsolescence risk, dual sourcing, and cost reduction.
• Drive design transfer with engineering, ensuring DFM/DFA, process validation, test strategy, and yield improvement.
• Oversee manufacturing quality with QA/RA, supplier controls, incoming inspection, non-conformance handling, and corrective actions.
• Own COGS and drive structured cost-down initiatives across design, sourcing, and production.
• Manage production metrics: unit cost, yield, on-time delivery, lead time, scrap; report to executives.
• Build and lead manufacturing and sourcing teams and scalable systems and processes.
• Ensure supplier activities meet medical device regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, EU MDR, other markets).
• Stay compliant with the Dignio QMS and ISMS.
