Job summary

Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems is seeking a Product Manager to maintain, develop and grow our global Tools & Consumables portfolio, including cut, crease and milling tools, blades, router bits, wear parts, and accessories used on our digital cutting tables and milling systems.

You will combine technical product knowledge with market insights to launch new products, optimize the portfolio, and drive profitable growth, collaborating with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, customers, and suppliers

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• Strong background in Product Management for industrial products, tooling, consumables, machinery, or related technical products.
• Familiarity with the packaging and the sign and display industry as well as industries like manufacturing, machine tools, industrial automation, and printing.
• Experience with market analysis, portfolio management, pricing, value proposition development, customer-centric product development, and go-to-market execution.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally

Responsibilities

• Own the global Tools & Consumables product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities and defining requirements to product launch and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, customers, and suppliers to define product requirements and coordinate the development and launch of new products.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and application requirements to identify portfolio opportunities and translate them into new products and portfolio improvements.
• Define and validate product specifications, value propositions, pricing, and business cases for new products and portfolio enhancements.
• Develop and execute go-to-market plans together with Sales and Marketing, including product launches, sales enablement, and product training.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including revenue, margins, customer feedback, and profitability, and implement actions to improve commercial results.
