Job summary

Cegal is seeking a Principal IT Engineer in Network Operations to define and drive direction for network services at scale across 200+ customers. You will combine deep architectural expertise with leadership to shape standards and operating models.

You will own lifecycle strategy, promote IaC and platform‑based designs, govern ServiceNow usage, and mentor teams while navigating incidents and complex stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in complex network environments and architecture.
• Ability to define and drive direction across organization.
• Strong track record in defining scalable network services and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the strategic direction for network operations.
• Govern target architecture across customers, platforms and regions.
• Drive transition to software‑defined, policy‑driven, IaC models.
• Set and govern design principles across teams, aligned with long‑term strategy.
• Engage in major incidents requiring principal‑level judgement on architecture/design.
• Drive standardization across diverse customer landscapes.
• Define how ServiceNow underpins operating model, data foundations and governance.
• Own lifecycle strategy, automation principles for network services.
• Drive platform‑based operating models adoption across teams.
• Resolve critical and complex problems impacting service design and scalability.
• Lead cross‑team initiatives shaping standards, architecture, operating models.
• Take ownership of technical direction and key decisions within your area.
• Mentor colleagues and support skill development.
• Implement structural improvements to operating models and service design.
• Represent network architecture in high‑impact stakeholder interactions.
