Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex, international customer programs within a high-technology defense environment. You will act as the primary customer contact and coordinate activities across Programs, R&D, Products, Operations, Sales, Service, Finance and other functions.

You will balance customer needs, business goals, risk, resources and deliverables over time, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and contract-compliant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading program management, project or contract leadership with broad customer & deliverables responsibility.
• Experience with complex, international deliveries, preferably in defense/high-tech or system integration.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple parallel activities.
• Experience with bid processes, contract negotiations and contract administration.
• Good understanding of requirements management, risk management and professional reporting.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding, including calculations, business cases, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Experience from or collaboration with the defense industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for selected customers and build long-term, professional customer relationships.
• Retain overall responsibility for program execution and contract performance across the life cycle.
• Plan, manage and report progress, finances, risk, opportunities and deviations at the program level.
• Ensure deliveries are performed on time, within cost, quality and contract requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams and ensure clear priorities, responsibilities and decision points.
• Support Business Development and Sales in the sales processes.
• Lead complex bid responses from RFP receipt to internal approval and submission.
• Participate in and, if needed, lead contract negotiations, change management and commercial follow-up.
• Monitor support, upgrade and sustainment activities and ensure smooth handover to ongoing customer support.
