Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Global Data Center Infrastructure Technical Expert in Hamar to join our DataCenter Service team. You will help design, review, and commission electromechanical systems across hyper-scale facilities, ensuring reliability and scalable operations.

You will lead commissioning tests, support procurement, conduct on-site inspections, and provide emergency technical assistance during incidents, collaborating with global teams to maintain optimal data center uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC.
• Lead commissioning team to conduct Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning tests, verify design intent and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Familiar with global data center industry standards and capable of data center drawing review.
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering: generator, chiller, cooling tower, AHU, UPS, power distribution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews for electromechanical disciplines of new data centers and assess existing designs for stability.
• Support procurement for global data center projects and evaluate technical proposals.
• Contribute to engineering commissioning discussions and define test plans to verify design indicators.
• Empower operations teams and help develop response plans to address design limits and risks.
• Perform on-site inspections to identify operational risks and ensure safe, stable data center operation.
• Provide on-site emergency technical support during incidents and assist in post-incident reviews.
