Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Technical Data Specialist to identify, collect and structure G&G data in Petrel Studio databases and to ensure data quality and proper metadata capture. The role supports OSDU data preparation and collaboration across subsurface teams.

The position offers permanent or project employment with access to courses, mentoring and career guidance, and a strong pension/insurance setup within a growing Nordic engineering group.

Qualifications

• Higher education in geology, geophysics, subsurface data management or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with subsurface data management and G&G interpretation data.
• Strong practical experience with Petrel and Petrel Studio.
• Experience with interpreted subsurface data such as horizons, faults, and models.
• English proficiency; Norwegian language capability is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, structure and curate G&G data in Petrel Studio databases.
• Review and improve Petrel Studio folder structures for controlled storage and metadata capture.
• Perform data quality control for completeness, consistency and validity.
• Apply naming conventions and data management standards.
• Establish data lineage and documentation for OSDU preparation.
