Job summary

IKM Consultants AS seeks an experienced Functional Safety Specialist to oversee safety design and compliance for projects in Norway. You will review documents, manage NCRs, and guide SoWs while coordinating with stakeholders across sites.

The role requires deep IEC 61508/11 knowledge, LOPA expertise, PSD/ESD experience, and a collaborative mindset. English and Norwegian fluency are required; regular travel is expected to Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, and Kårstø.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of IEC 61508/11 standards.
• Experience with Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
• Proficiency in conducting Pressure Protection Studies.
• Expertise in Process Shutdown (PSD) and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform document reviews and ensure compliance.
• Manage and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Serve as a key design advisor on functional safety matters.
• Prepare and oversee Statements of Work (SoW).
• Handle stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
• Be prepared for regular travel as part of the role.
