Job summary

Amerikalinjen in Oslo is seeking a Front of House receptionist for a 30% position. You will be the hub of guest flow, handling admin tasks, guest requests and occasional emergencies with a proactive, service-focused mindset as guests begin their journey before booking a room.

You’ll embody Michelin-level service, work closely with all departments, and bring energy to a vibrant lobby that represents Oslo’s historic hotel culture. Training is provided within a world-class service culture.

Qualifications

• Provides first-class, personal service aligned with Michelin standards.
• Shows integrity and a proactive, YES attitude.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative during quieter moments.
• Strong communication in English; Scandinavian language skills are a plus.
• Experience with the Mews system is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle administrative tasks, technical issues, guest requests and emergencies with guests present.
• Own the floor and respond quickly to guest needs throughout check-in and arrival.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless, Forbes-level service.
• Maintain a problem-solving mindset to create an eclectic and unforgettable guest journey.
