Job summary

ALTEK AI is seeking its first internal engineer to join the product and technology team in Oslo. You will help define how we build technology going forward, including backend in Python and frontend in React/TypeScript, plus AI agents in production.

You’ll translate customer problems into technical decisions, take ideas from prototype to production, and work closely with hotels as we scale internationally. Fluency in English is required; Norwegian is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineer with Python backend experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs/AI agents and tool calling.
• Experience taking systems from prototype to production.
• Frontend knowledge (React/TypeScript) to build full-stack solutions.
• Able to work independently and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve AI agents and LLM systems in production.
• Define when AI should act autonomously and when humans should intervene.
• Work across the stack from backend to frontend.
• Move ideas from prototype to production and iterate quickly.
• Collaborate with hotels to translate customer problems into technical decisions.
