Job summary

FutureCare Health is hiring Floor Techs to maintain clean, sanitary environments across our facility. You will operate floor care machines daily, strip and wax floors, and assist with resident space cleaning while following infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Experience operating floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, wet vacs and auto-scrubbers.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to read labels on cleaning and detergent products.
• Ability to operate large powered vacuum cleaners and polishing equipment.
• Ability to interact respectfully with staff, residents, families and visitors.
• Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor equipment (auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors) to strip, scrub, shampoo and wax floors.
• Utilize automated floor cleaning equipment for large-area cleaning per schedule.
• Clean carpets and upholstery with shampooing and spot-cleaning methods.
• Maintain and restore various floor surfaces and keep areas clean and safe.
• Remove trash, move furniture and assist with resident wheelchair cleaning as needed.
• Report maintenance problems promptly and follow safety/infection-control procedures.

Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

• - Operate designated floor equipment to include auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors to strip, scrub, and shampoo and wax floors, all surface cleaners, or other larger mechanical machines daily or as needed as a primary duty
• - Utilize automated floor cleaning equipment according to schedule for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• - Uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.)
• - Operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned
• - Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• - Clean, sweep, vacuum, and polishe floors
• - Use various tools, equipment, and cleaning materials to include, but not limited to hand power scrubbing and polishing equipment, small and large vacuum cleaners, large commercial type buffer, broom, dust brush, dust pan, wet and dry mop, bucket mop wringer, special cleaning solution, and chemical cleaners
• - Clean identified or assigned areas/spaces with required cleaners and disinfecting solutions
• - Assist in cleaning common areas
• - Remove trash from assigned areas. Moves furniture, miscellaneous equipment, supplies and/or recyclable materials, empties large and small trash containers, and remove miscellaneous debris
• - Assist with resident wheelchair cleaning and disinfecting
• - Promptly reports all maintenance problems
• - Adheres to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions
• - Keep equipment, carts and work areas clean, reporting any problems- Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
• - Perform any other related duties as assigned

• - Ability to operate large powered vacuum cleaners, cleaning and buffing equipment
• - Ability to interact and/or work with staff members, family members, and visitors in a respectful and courteous manner
• - Ability to lift carry or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50lbs
• - Ability to stand, walk or otherwise move about the facility on a continuous basis
