Job summary

ALTEK AI based in Norway is hiring our first internal engineer to build and evolve AI agents, LLM systems, and full-stack solutions for automating hotel operations globally. You will shape product and technology decisions alongside founders, contributing from architecture to frontend.

The role combines backend Python, FastAPI, and frontend React/TypeScript, with direct customer impact and international expansion. Fluency in English is essential; Norwegian is a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Python backend development.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs/LLM APIs, AI agents, and tool calling.
• Full-stack capability with React and TypeScript.
• Experience taking systems from prototype to production.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Willing to travel to hotels and customer meetings as needed.
• Equity stake offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve AI agents and LLM systems in production, including retrieval/grounding, tool calling/skills, and evaluation infrastructure.
• Define the logic for when AI should act on its own, and when a human should be involved.
• Work across the stack from backend in Python to frontend in React/TypeScript.
• Take ideas and prototypes to production, iterating quickly based on real usage.
• Collaborate with hotels to translate customer problems into technical decisions.
