Job summary

EY's Tax Technology & Operations in Oslo is seeking a Finance Consultant or Manager to help transform finance functions through technology, data, and smarter ways of working. You will work across Finance, Tax, and Technology to deliver change and enable improved reporting and processes in the Nordics.

The Nordic team collaborates with leaders, stakeholders, and technology specialists to drive end-to-end finance transformations, with SAP projects and operating model redesign at the core.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business, economics, tech, or related field.
• Experience in management consulting or finance transformation.
• Experience with process improvement and change initiatives.
• Strong understanding of finance processes.
• SAP or ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management presentations and lead client workshops.
• Analyze and map current tax and finance processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Finance, Tax, and Technology.
• Support business development across the Nordic region.

As part of our Nordic team, you will work at the intersection of Finance, Tax, and Technology, helping organizations improve and digitalize tax and finance processes, implement operating model changes, and leverage technology to meet increasing reporting and business requirements.

You will collaborate closely with finance leaders, business stakeholders, project teams, and technology specialists to deliver transformational change across the finance function.

Typical project areas include:

Large-scale finance transformations, helping clients simplify and redesign finance processes, designing and implement new operating models, and leverage technology to improve new regulatory reporting requirements. Projects mainly involve SAP transformations, making sure tax and finance processes are ready to be enabled by technology through harmonization, operating model design, data and reporting improvements -the enablement of more efficient end-to-end finance processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

Depending on your experience level, you will:

• Work hands on with preparing management presentations and decision-making materials, lead and facilitate client workshops

• Analyze and map current tax and finance processes to further design and document technology and future-ready processes including recommendations and transformation roadmaps on how to get there

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Finance, Tax, and Technology

• Contribute to business development and growth initiatives across the Nordic region
  

What We're Looking For

We believe you have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience from management consulting, advisory services, or finance transformation environments

• Experience with process improvement, transformation, or change initiatives

• Strong understanding of finance processes and the role of the finance function

• Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms is considered an advantage

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• The ability to convert complex challenges into structured and actionable recommendations

• Strong PowerPoint and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders
