Field Service Technician – Temporary Power, Cooling & HVAC Location: Tananger Would you like to work with advanced technology, a high degree of autonomy, and varied assignments? Our solutions are used across a wide range of industries, from offshore and energy sector, data centres and manufacturing facilities to critical infrastructure and major events. We are currently looking for Field Service Technicians to join our growing team in Norway. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician at Aggreko, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our equipment at customer sites. You will play a key role in ensuring our solutions operate safely, reliably, and efficiently throughout every project. This is a hands‑on field service role, based from our Tanager depot with regular travel to customer locations throughout the region. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure our equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will work with equipment including: Generators and backup power systems Power distribution equipment Load banks Chillers and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and decommission equipment at customer sites
• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
• Perform functional testing and ensure high operational reliability
• Complete service documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality in all aspects of work
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Experience in servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting technical equipment
• Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or engine systems along with relevant trade certificates in electrical or mechanical field “fagbrev”
• A self‑motivated individual who takes ownership of their work
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset
• A valid Category B driving licence
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Desirable Experience

• Generators or backup power systems
• Large diesel engines
• Power distribution and low‑voltage systems
• Refrigeration or HVAC systems
• Experience from industrial, construction, energy, or rental sectors
