Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot and maintain temporary power, cooling, heating, and HVAC equipment at customer sites across Norway, based from the Tananger depot.

This hands-on role requires independent problem-solving, strong safety focus, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while traveling to sites and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Trade certificate in electrical or mechanical field (fagbrev) or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with ownership of work.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset.
• Fluent Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and decommission equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Perform functional testing and ensure high operational reliability.
• Complete service documentation per company procedures.

Field Service Technician - Temporary Power, Cooling & HVAC

Location: Tananger

We are currently looking for Field Service Technicians to join our growing team in Norway. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician at Aggreko, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our equipment at customer sites. You will play a key role in ensuring our solutions operate safely, reliably, and efficiently throughout every project.

This is a hands-on field service role, based from our Tanager depot with regular travel to customer locations throughout the region. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure our equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

You will work with equipment including:

• Generators and backup power systems
• Power distribution equipment
• Load banks
• Chillers and HVAC systems

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and decommission equipment at customer sites
• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
• Perform functional testing and ensure high operational reliability
• Complete service documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality in all aspects of work
• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Experience in servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting technical equipment
• Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or engine systems along with relevant trade certificates in electrical or mechanical field "fagbrev"
• A self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
• A valid Category B driving licence
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Desirable Experience

• Generators or backup power systems
• Large diesel engines
• Power distribution and low-voltage systems
• Refrigeration or HVAC systems
• Experience from industrial, construction, energy, or rental sectors
