Job summary

BD is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join our Oslo-based team, supporting advanced instrumentation for customers in regulated testing environments. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring optimal performance and service excellence.

This hands-on role requires an engineering background (or proven field service experience), fluency in English and Norwegian, IT competence, a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Norway and the Nordic region.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or proven field service experience.
• Experience with maintenance of advanced, complex systems.
• Fluency in English and Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders on COR instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software issues using established procedures.
• Determine the most efficient repair/solution to minimize downtime.
• Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory.
• Escalate technical issues as needed.
• Cover Norway with occasional travel across the Nordic region.
