Job summary

Nexans, a global leader in subsea cable systems, is seeking an Engineering Manager – Projects to lead technical delivery across the full lifecycle from tender support to project close-out. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams in Halden or Oslo, with flexibility for partial home office, reporting to the Department Manager, Engineering Management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of experience in complex, offshore or industrial projects, plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related technical discipline.
5-10 years experience managing engineering activities in complex project environments.
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering execution, technical interfaces, and project delivery.
Fluent in English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
Ability to manage technical stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and lead engineering activities within budget and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical lead and primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet timelines, budgets, quality, and contracts.
Manage technical interfaces across engineering disciplines, manufacturing, procurement, installation, suppliers, and clients.
Support project execution from tender through close-out, ensuring compliance with standards.
Provide leadership to project teams and promote QHSE culture.
