Laerdal Medical in Stavanger is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers responsible for our digital customer platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

You will balance people leadership with technical insight, shaping cloud-based architecture on Azure, guiding product-focused development, and partnering with Product and Design to deliver durable, scalable digital solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Solid background in software development and modern engineering practices.
• Experience leading engineers in a product-focused environment.
• Cloud-based systems experience; Azure is a plus.
• Experience with agile, cross-functional teams.
• Leadership that communicates clearly and builds engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers by setting clear direction, building trust, and encouraging growth
• Shape technical choices with an eye on quality, sustainability, security, and long-term platform health
• Partner closely with Product and Design to turn ideas into well-prioritized, valuable customer solutions
• Strengthen ways of working across the team—from planning and delivery to testing and continuous improvement
• Promote good engineering practices and thoughtful use of emerging technologies, including AI
• Help create a positive, inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives are valued
