Job summary

Autodesk is seeking an Engineering Manager to grow talent within its AI-powered architecture design platform. You will spend roughly 70% of your time coding and 30% on people leadership, mentoring engineers, removing blockers, and developing contributors across product teams.

You will lead a group of managers and engineers in a matrix structure, combining technical judgment with people leadership to drive quality and standards across cloud, performance-sensitive apps, and AI-driven design

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on engineering background with cloud-based systems.
• Experience leading and developing engineers within a matrix organization.
• Ability to mentor engineers and set technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineers across the organization while remaining a hands-on contributor.
• Split time between people leadership and shipping code.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, feedback cycles, and coaching conversations.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of engineers; ensure smooth integration into teams.
• Remove blockers and advocate for engineers to succeed.
