Job summary

Elliptic Labs in Oslo, Norway is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing software teams, provide coaching, and create an environment for engineers to excel. You will report to the CTO and partner with Staff Engineers and Product Owners to align priorities.

You will hire, onboard, run 1:1s, performance reviews, and drive capacity planning while removing blockers and improving ways of working across multiple product teams.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to build high-performing engineering teams through strong leadership and coaching, making sure engineers have the support and environment to do their best work.

Engineering at Elliptic Labs spans embedded development, ML, signal processing, and software. Staff Engineers drive technical direction, and Product Owners own execution, as EM, you bring the people leadership that ties it together.

You'll manage engineers across several product teams, report to the CTO, and help shape products used by millions worldwide.

What You’ll Own

• People management: hiring, onboarding, coaching, 1:1s, performance reviews, career development.
• Team health: building good ways of working and removing blockers.
• Capacity planning: tracking skills and gaps, driving hiring decisions.
• Partnership with Staff Engineers and Product Owners on priorities and trade-offs.
