Job summary

Airthings is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer at Oslo headquarters to own electronic design of new and existing products, create schematics, oversee PCB layout, and work with suppliers and a contract manufacturer. You will develop sensor drivers, support production test software with the firmware team, and collaborate during bring-up and debugging, bridging hardware and firmware between components.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience in electronics design for volume manufacturing.
Proficiency in a schematic design entry tool such as Altium.
Embedded C programming experience.
Understanding of microcontroller-based systems, including analogue design, low-power and battery-operated circuits, power regulation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Design schematics and follow up PCB layout for new and existing products.
Write sensor drivers and support production test software in collaboration with the firmware team.
Collaborate with firmware engineers during bring-up and debugging of new designs.
Work with our contract manufacturer on design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT).
Debug and perform failure analysis of issues found in production and in the field.
Document new product designs and maintain design documentation.
