Job summary

Ubiq Aerospace in Trondheim, Norway, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and build electronic hardware for power and signals. You’ll prototype, bring up boards, test, and iterate while documenting designs and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate electronics into larger systems.

Qualifications

  • Relevant education in electronics, cybernetics, electrical engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuits.
  • Experience designing PCBs with schematic capture, placement and routing.
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets for electronic components.
  • Hands-on experience building, testing and debugging electronic hardware.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
  • Soldering, wire crimping or PCB modification are advantages.
  • Analytical problem-solving and a willingness to learn by doing.
  • Enjoy hands-on collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Electronics design: contribute to circuit design and PCB layout for hardware.
  • Prototyping and bring-up: lab board bring-up, debugging and iteration.
  • Design for manufacturing: ensure manufacturability and testability of electronics.
  • Assembly and integration: assemble and integrate electronics into subsystems.
  • Testing and validation: plan and perform tests to verify design performance.
  • Problem-solving: identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Cross-disciplinary development: collaborate with other engineering teams.
  • Documentation: document designs, test procedures and results.
