Job summary

Equinor UK seeks an electrical engineer for the Hammerfest LNG site, working in a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, reliable power and electrical systems. You will support integrity, contribute to design, and assist in implementing improvements in a highly regulated industrial environment.

The role emphasizes safety culture, Norwegian language proficiency, and collaboration across disciplines, with interviews tied to the North Development Program in Harstad. Hammerfest living is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or another relevant electrical subject. Completed degree by August 2027.
• No more than three years of relevant fulltime work experience.
• Understanding of electrical systems in a large, highly regulated industrial facility.
• Ability to familiarize yourself with digital tools used in the job.
• Ability to contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
• Proficiency in Norwegian (verbal and written) and proficient English communication.
• Excitement about living and working in Hammerfest.

Responsibilities

• Support technical integrity through electrical technical assistance and various operation and maintenance services.
• Assist in design, implementation, and quality assurance of minor improvement proposals in safety and electrical systems.
• Contribute to safe and efficient design and execution of modifications.
• Contribute to safety in design and operations for the asset.
• Provide technical support during extended production disruptions.
• Proactively support assets in production optimization.
• Work on a broad set of deliveries and join a professional network.
