Job summary

Equinor is hiring a mechanical engineer for Hammerfest LNG in Hammerfest, Norway. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, with development opportunities and short-term exchanges between northern locations.

Responsibilities include monitoring the plant's mechanical integrity, evaluating compliance with technical requirements, participating in projects, and providing support for operations and maintenance while prioritising safety and a zero-harm culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering with completion by August 2027.
• Less than three years of relevant full-time experience.
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English communication.
• Ability to contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
• Team player with the capacity to work in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Excitement about living and working in Hammerfest.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the plant's technical condition within the static mechanical discipline.
• Evaluate and assess compliance with technical requirements.
• Participate in projects, modifications, and studies.
• Provide technical support for operations and maintenance.
• Contribute to risk assessments and the management of risk and HSE.
• Update and prepare documentation and specifications within the static mechanical discipline.
• Contribute to monitoring, control, and improvement of the plant's technical integrity.
