Job summary

Leap29 is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a client in the Nordic region, joining the Engineering & Maintenance division to support industrial facilities with maintenance optimization and modification projects.

You will deliver detail engineering for LV/HV systems, plan preventive and corrective maintenance, and prepare technical documentation. Fluency in Norwegian is required; English proficiency is expected, with experience in NEK standards and design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience in electrical engineering within industrial maintenance or heavy industry.
• Fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken) and working proficiency in English.
• Strong familiarity with Norwegian standards (NEK 400, NEK 420) and FSE.
• Experience with design and documentation tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, FEBDOK).

Responsibilities

• Deliver detail engineering and technical calculations for LV/HV systems.
• Plan and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance routines.
• Prepare and update cable schedules, loop diagrams, single-line diagrams, and datasheets.
• Ensure all installations comply with NEK 400, NEK 420 and FSE.
• Troubleshoot on live sites and perform root-cause analysis with maintenance teams.

Leap29 is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, a major provider of industrial services and engineering solutions. In this role, you will join the Engineering & Maintenance division to deliver engineering support, maintenance optimization, and modification projects for industrial production facilities across the Nordic region. You will be responsible for ensuring high operational reliability, electrical safety compliance, and efficient execution of maintenance and modification scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver detail engineering, design, and technical calculations for low and high voltage systems in industrial processing and maintenance projects.
• Plan, oversee, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance routines for electrical installations.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, including cable schedules, loop diagrams, single-line diagrams, and technical datasheets.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance work comply with Norwegian standards and regulations (including NEK 400, NEK 420, and FSE).
• Perform troubleshooting, root-cause failure analysis, and system modifications on live operational sites.
• Collaborate closely with cross functional maintenance teams, project planners, and client personnel on site.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
• Solid experience in electrical engineering within industrial maintenance, processing plants or heavy industry.
• Professional fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken) is strictly required; working proficiency in English.
• Strong familiarity with Norwegian electrical standards and safety practices (NEK / FSE).
• Experience with relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., FEBDOK, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• DSB approval or relevant trade certification is a strong advantage.
