NOV Downhole Broadband Solutions in Stavanger, Norway seeks a Data Analyst to provide real-time and memory-based drilling analytics across up to three rigs, translating complex downhole data into actionable recommendations that improve performance and protect wellbore integrity.

You will support Project Managers, own critical analytical workflows, and contribute to new software tools and technical publications while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years’ experience in drilling operations, including DD/LWD and optimization.
• Strong expertise in drilling dynamics, BHA design, trajectory management and well integrity.
• Experience with high-frequency data interpretation and failure investigation.
• Ability to translate complex datasets into clear operational recommendations and client-ready reports.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (operations, subsurface, engineering, quality, and software).
• Proficient in standard data analysis and visualization tools; scripting or programming knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the main focal point for technical and analytical support across assigned rigs.
• Provide daily technical oversight for real-time operations and tool performance.
• Generate optimization reports with key events, mitigations, and recommendations.
• Deliver operational intervention support on drilling dynamics, pressure management and wellbore integrity.
• Conduct BHA and operational design reviews, trajectory advice, and scope-of-work reviews.
• Perform detailed performance and failure analysis using high-frequency memory data.
• Support field testing and rollout of new tools, software, and technical changes.
• Own the peer review process for technical service delivery and reporting.
• Develop and deliver internal and customer technical training; mentor senior operations staff.
• Collaborate with client engineering and subsurface teams and contribute to technical publications.
